Sukarya welcomes people to contribute their skills, time, talent and experience through our Volunteer Programme.
Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age and willing to commit time as required depending on the available opportunity. We do not have regular weekend volunteering opportunities except during our advocacy and fundraising events.
We often need technical expertise in the field of Communication, since we always look to employ story-telling, theatre, dance, photography and audio-visual media in our programs.
Documentation and writing are other areas in which we need volunteers. Journalists, writers, photographers are always welcome.
Periodically, we carry out field-based research studies, related to our core areas of interventions. We welcome your support especially in quantitative research, data collection, data entry, and analysis
Volunteers are welcome to campaign for creating awareness on issues like anemia and malnutrition, gender equity, rights and responsibilities.
Volunteering with Sukarya, gives you an opportunity to work in a friendly environment and interact with those who have dedicated themselves to making a difference in the lives of people. Almost anybody with a social commitment to contribute towards the cause of improving the health of the rural and urban poor can volunteer. We are looking for people with a high level of integrity and compassion, who are willing to work in a socially challenging environment.
