ABOUT SUKARYA
For over 27 years, Sukarya has worked with women, children and adolescent girls in underserved communities across Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Our Gender Equality Programme empowers adolescent girls aged 10–19 through a structured, evidence-based curriculum that builds knowledge, life skills and confidence.
The programme focuses on:
• Gender rights and equality
• Adolescent and reproductive health
• Menstrual hygiene and family life education
• Emotional resilience and mental well-being
• Leadership development through the Lead Girls initiative
• Digital literacy and future-ready skills
Through structured sessions, peer mentoring and community engagement, girls gain the confidence to challenge stereotypes, delay early marriage, pursue education and lead change in their communities.
Girls who complete the programme receive a certification that recognizes their commitment, progress and leadership — reinforcing their confidence and achievements.
Since 2017, Sukarya has trained 23,200 adolescent girls through this programme, building a generation of confident young leaders.
