mMitra Voice a Call Program

SUKARYA Collaborated with ARMMAN‘s mMitra Voice call Program and MAMA (a global alliance of Johnson and Johnson, UN Foundation) for its Maternal and Child Health program. mMitra is a free mobile voice call service that provides culturally appropriate comprehensive information on preventive care and simple interventions to reduce maternal and infant mortality and morbidity in urban India. The voice calls are in the local dialect, specific to the women’s gestational age or the age of the infant and are sent weekly/twice a week free of cost directly to pregnant women and mothers with infants.
The mMitra Voice a call Program is already operational under Sukarya’s Urban Slum Health Action (USHA) Project in Delhi and Community based Health education and livelihood project in 30 Villages of district Mewat, Haryana.

Sukarya Signed MoU with LSR [Lady Shri Ram College] Delhi for making dish washing liquid project.
The Project aims to involve unemployed and underprivileged rural women to enhance their financial ability by selling the dish washing liquid soap in reused/recycled bottles.
The project entails to target mainly two objectives- income generation and dealing with environmental degradation because of heavy usage of plastic. The project will instill the skills of entrepreneurship and business management among the target communities and improve their quality of life. This initiative is being implemented and superrvized through self help groups in Mangar, Waliawas, Gwalpahari, and the villages of Mewat.

the villages of Mewat Intervention area and the ongoing Community based Health and livelihood program being implemented in partnership with Freedom from Hunger, USA.

Mr. Edouine Francois, Director Product Development of the Freedom From Hunger, USA visited Sukarya and Project Implementation area of Mewat to develop community based health cadres and sustainable income generation activities to get rid of poverty and health issues.

The objective was to disseminate, share project achievements, learnings, best practices and lessons among stakeholders especially Health and ICDS departments. Two meetings were organized at Nuh and Tauru Block with both blocks Govt. officials separately. All officers from NRLM, Health and ICDS appreciated project’s innovative initiatives to improve maternal and child health status. Participants were PHC doctors , MOIC , CDPO& Cluster supervisor from ICDS , District Program Manager – NRLM , PRI representatives ,ANM – AWW, ASHA, SHG Members, CHV and Paper Bag Master trainers –FFHIT & Sukarya staffs.
